Q | How many people will be praying with me in the Gateway session?
A | One Prayer Minister will lead the session and one or two others will be praying and taking notes for you to take home at the end of the session. At least one of the Prayer Ministers will be the same gender as you. All sessions are completely confidential.
Q | How long do the sessions last?
A | A typical session is 2 hours, but it is not uncommon to vary by an hour either way.
Q | How is a Gateway Prayer session different from a counseling session?
A | Gateway Prayer Ministers are not licensed counselors. In counseling, a person and their counselor talk and respond to each other. In Gateway, we facilitate a conversation between you and God.
Q | Will I be pressured to pray on my own?
A | No, a Prayer Minister will lead you in the process. We respect, honor, and are sensitive to where you are in your faith journey.
Q | Will I feel uncomfortable, challenged, or pressured in any way?
A | The goal of the Gateway Prayer session is to make you feel as comfortable as possible. We urge you to be open, transparent, and sensitive to the Holy Spirit, as we want you to receive all that God has for you.
